Hi everyone

The Chairman's Charity for 2024 - Part 2 - A walk across the Alps!

As it's my first year as Chair I have decided to agree to something very different for the Chairman's Charity, and thats to endorse and support two Charities and therefore two challenges.
The second Charity I'd like to support this year is for Nightingale House Hospice, and here is a little bit about what they do ..
Nightingale House Hospice
Nightingale House Hospice provides specialist palliative care services for those with life-limiting illnesses.
Their services are completely free-of-charge, to patients and their families across a wide catchment area stretching from Wrexham, Flintshire and East Denbighshire to Barmouth and the border towns including Oswestry and Whitchurch.
Their Mission is..
To provide services for individuals and their families living within North East Wales and the border areas who are living with a diagnosis of a progressive and/or life-limiting illness, delivered when possible in the location of their choice and always within the resources available to Nightingale House Hospice.
Following an assessment of physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs, services will be delivered by a multi-disciplinary team trained and competent to meet the needs of all patients, including those with complex, specialist needs.
I was struck by the reach of NHH and am pleased to pledge the second half of this years club fundraising to them. I'm also very grateful to Mark for planning yet another charity eventy to raise funds that our club can support
Cheers - Peter

From Mark ...This years challenge was to walk across Wales from Machynlleth to Montgomery approx 44 miles over three days accompanied by my good friends : Jonathan, Simon, Colin, Brian, Lesley, Gwyneth, David & Olwen and we did it, raising an amaazing £4300 ....However I thought why not do something else for Peter's first year ??
